Boulder journal

Boulder, out loud.

This is the working log of our first grant. Two University of Colorado graduates in their twenties have a year to find out what Boulder needs and then make it. We post what happens while it is happening.

Who they met. What they heard. What they thought was the answer in March and had thrown out by May. The point of writing it down is that somebody in another town can pick it up and skip a few months of learning the same things.

Nobody has told them what to build.

How this page works

Entries go up as they come in, in the grantees' own words, lightly edited for length. We do not clean up the parts that make us look uncertain, because the uncertainty is the honest state of the work in month three. At the end of the year this becomes the playbook (what got made, what it cost, what failed), published openly so anyone can run it somewhere else.

The first entries are on their way.

They are listening first, which is the right order.

If this is the work you want, come do it.
